How to begin

Start with one small project, not the whole build.

Hiring a development partner is a risk, and most agencies and business owners have been burned at least once. So we do not ask you to bet a full project on a first impression.

Pick something small and real — a landing page, a plugin, a performance pass, a bug that has been sitting in your backlog for a month. We scope it, quote it, and deliver it inside one week. You see exactly how we communicate, how we write code, and whether we hit the date we gave you. Then you decide whether to hand us the larger project.

Paid at our standard rate, no discount and no free work. Free work is how you find out someone treats you like a low priority.

Overlap

Your timezone, not ours.

Most outsourced development teams overlap with you for two or three hours and answer everything else tomorrow. A single question can cost three days. We work 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST, the same day you do — messages get answered while you are still at your desk, and a blocker raised in the morning is resolved before you log off.

What we build

Four practices. One senior team behind all of them.

Most clients do not need a single skill. They need a partner who can take a WordPress build this quarter, a custom application next quarter, and keep both running afterward — without re-sourcing a developer every time the brief changes shape.

01

Web applications & custom development

Custom systems built to a specification: client portals, booking and quoting engines, internal tools, dashboards, and the integrations that connect them to software you already run.

  • PHP & Laravelbusiness applications, enterprise platforms, legacy modernization
  • React & Next.jsweb apps, admin dashboards, high-performance marketing sites
  • Node.js & PythonAPIs, third-party integrations, scheduled automation
  • Architecture & dataschema design, migrations, system integration

Typical engagement: 4–12 weeks, fixed scope and fixed price.

02

WordPress & CMS engineering

Fourteen years of WordPress, most of it on sites where an hour of downtime is a revenue event. Custom themes built from your design files, plugins built to a spec, and platform work on installations that have outgrown page builders.

  • Custom theme developmentbuilt from Figma, Sketch, or XD
  • Plugin & block developmentbespoke functionality, Gutenberg blocks
  • WooCommercestores, custom checkout flows, payment and shipping integration
  • Joomla & Drupalcontent-heavy builds, legacy support, migrations

Typical engagement: 2–8 weeks.

03

Ecommerce

Storefronts that convert and keep working as the catalog grows, plus the custom app work that off-the-shelf themes cannot cover.

  • Shopifytheme development, headless builds, private and public apps
  • WooCommercecustom product logic, subscriptions, ERP and inventory sync
  • Payments & fulfillmentgateway integration, tax, shipping, third-party logistics

Typical engagement: 3–10 weeks.

04

Performance, security & maintenance

The work that starts after launch, and the reason most clients move from a project to a monthly retainer.

  • Speed & Core Web VitalsLCP, CLS, and INP remediation with before-and-after reporting
  • Security hardeningvulnerability remediation, malware cleanup, access control, WAF configuration
  • Maintenance retainersupdates, backups, uptime monitoring, monthly reporting
  • Rapid-build platformsWebflow and Framer where the timeline demands it

Typical engagement: monthly retainer.

Who we work with

Two ways to work with us.

For businesses

You need it built properly and kept running.

You need a website or an application built properly and kept running. We handle scoping, build, testing, launch, and ongoing support, working directly with your team. One senior developer on your project and one point of contact who understands the commercial goal, not just the ticket.

Best forCompanies without an in-house development team, or with one already at capacity.

For agencies — white-label

You have won the work and need a delivery team.

We build under your brand: no Code Nation attribution anywhere in the deliverable, no contact with your client, and documentation written so you can forward it without editing. NDA signed before the first brief, full IP assignment, and a single project manager reporting in your channel.

Best forDesign studios, branding agencies, and marketing firms that sell development but do not employ developers.

Small team, on purpose

You will work with the people who build it.

We are a small senior team, and that is a decision rather than a stage we are trying to grow out of. There is no account manager between you and the developer, no junior learning on your budget, and no rotating cast of contractors who each need the project explained again.

The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. When you ask why something was done a particular way, you get the reasoning from whoever made the decision, in the same conversation.

  • No juniors on client work

Every engagement is led by a developer with real delivery history.

  • No account-manager layer

You talk to the people writing the code.

  • Limited concurrent projects

We take on what we can staff properly, and say no when we cannot.

How we price

Three commercial shapes. Pick the one that fits.

Dedicated development team

A senior developer — or a small team — reserved for you full-time, working your hours, in your tools, on whatever you point them at. The lowest effective rate we offer, and roughly a third of what the same seniority costs to employ in the US. This is the model most long-term clients settle into.

Starts at $4,800/month

Fixed-price project

Send a brief or a design file. Within two business days you get a written scope, a fixed price, and a delivery date, and we hold both. Best for defined builds with a clear finish line.

Starts at $2,500

Maintenance retainer

A set number of hours each month for updates, fixes, performance work, and the small requests that arrive on Fridays. Unused hours roll over one month.

Starts at $750/month

Scoping, project management, QA, and a documented handover are included in every engagement. Those are not line items.

How pricing works

How an engagement runs

From first conversation to handover.

  1. 01 / 05

    Discovery call

Thirty minutes. We look at what you are trying to build, what already exists, and what the real constraints are. No pitch deck, no slides.

  2. 02 / 05

    Written scope & fixed quote

Within two business days you receive a written scope, a fixed price, and a delivery date. Anything ambiguous gets asked about now, not discovered in week three. The quote lists what is included and, just as importantly, what is not.

  3. 03 / 05

Build, with a demo every week

One project manager owns your account and reports where you already work — Slack, email, Jira, ClickUp, Basecamp. You get a staging URL in the first week and a working demo every Friday, so nothing is a surprise at delivery.

  4. 04 / 05

    Launch & handover

Deployment, testing across devices, and a handover pack: documented setup, environment notes, credentials, and a walkthrough recording. Your team can maintain the work without calling us.

  5. 05 / 05

    After launch

Thirty days of bug fixes on delivered scope at no cost. After that, a maintenance retainer if you want one, or nothing at all if you do not.

Selected work

Recent projects.

A slice of the work. Where a project was delivered under an agency’s brand, the work is described and the credit stays with them.

FAQ

Questions we get on the first call.

A description of the outcome and whatever assets exist — a design file, a spec, a screen recording, or a competitor URL. If the brief is thin we will tell you what is missing rather than padding the number to cover the unknown.

Tell us what you are building.

Thirty minutes, no pitch. We look at the project, tell you what it would cost and how long it would take, and say so plainly if it is not something we should be building for you. If you would rather test us than talk to us, send one small paid project instead.
